The Sri Lanka navy assisted the Coast Guard to arrest nine Indian fishermen and seized two Indian fishing trawlers poaching in Sri Lankan waters north west of Analative island last night.The fishermen along with their trawlers were handed over to the officials of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources of Kankasanthurai, the navy media unit said. Meanwhile the navy assisted in the repatriation of four Indian fishermen released from Sri Lankan custody yesterday.They were handed over to the Indian Coast Guard Ship “Rani Durgavathi” at the International Maritime Boundary Line North of Kankasanthurai.
