The reigning Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week, Kylee Macke (Ankeny, Iowa) had a game-high 13 digs and two aces. Drake’s defense held WIU to just .156 hitting on the match and just .117 percent hitting in the final three sets. JoJo Kruize led WIU with 11 kills.The win over WIU begins a challenging week for the Bulldogs with two matches against ranked opponents on the horizon this weekend at the Bluejay Classic in Omaha, Neb.
