He finished in 11th place in the individual races and seventh in the team race with his trio Living The Dream.Overall Horst was satisfied with his performance in St. Paul, but notes that an injury suffered while racing hindered his progress as the event went on.“It went pretty well. My qualifying was better at the start of this year than I had managed to pick up at the start of last year. In the racing I had a couple of good heats but I had a bit of injury trouble after the first couple of races so I got bumped out in the quarters,” Horst said.- Advertisement -The injury Horst suffered understandably made things difficult as he ended up tearing a muscle in his side but he is hopeful he won’t have to miss any of the upcoming races on the Crashed Ice calendar.“I tore a muscle in my side so it made it hard to skate. I’m looking to rest for the next couple of weeks and be ready for the next one.”In the team event Living The Dream made it to the quarter finals against Team Finland, but a pile-up at the start of the race set Horst and his teammates back and they were unable to recover.Advertisement In the singles standings Horst was rewarded with 240 points, and Living The Dream earned themselves 360 points. The next Crashed Ice event is scheduled for February 5-7 in Helsinki, Finland.last_img
