PQSJ Elects First Student Leadership

first_imgA four-team student leadership has been set-up at the Peter Quaqua School of Journalism (PQSJ) to lead student activities at the institution.The first student leadership came out of an election held on Friday, September 11 by some 40 trainees who turned out to vote on polling day.According to a release by MediaAid Foundation, those elected are, Gerald Koin-yeneh, President; Charles Lamadine, Vice President; Maresa Fahnbulleh, Secretary General; and Deborah Saah, Financial Secretary.Speaking to a cross-section of the trainees after the election, MediaAid Foundation’s Founder and Executive Director, Titus Tokpah, applauded both losers and winners, and urged them to work together for the advancement of the Peter Quaqua School of Journalism.Mr. Tokpah reminded the new student leadership of the high ethical standards on which the journalism training project is built, as such, the leadership must be responsible and accountable to all.Meanwhile, the President-elect Koin-yeneh, praised his colleagues for the election, and assured quality leadership following their induction.The student leadership will lead until December 2015, the period for the first graduating class.Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)last_img
