Uniondale Burglar Made Sexual Advance at Teen, Cops Say

first_imgSign up for our COVID-19 newsletter to stay up-to-date on the latest coronavirus news throughout New York A burglar punched and tried to sexually assault a 19-year-old woman in her Uniondale home over the weekend, Nassau County police said.The victim was in the bedroom of her Newport Road when the assailant walked in, “made a sexual advance toward her” and then punched her in the face shortly before 5 a.m. Saturday, police said.The victim suffered a small laceration to her lip. The attacker stole a cell phone and cash before he ran away southbound on Newport Road toward Front Street.The suspect is described as a 6-foot tall, 200-pound black man with a possible Caribbean accent between 40 and 50 years old who was wearing dark clothing and a dark hooded sweatshirt.First Squad detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
