(@SV_Sandhausen) June 22, 2018 Gislason has himself has had his say on the social media excitement surrounding him, and the attacker has attempted to play it down.”I try not to focus on it, it does not distract me,” he said.The 30-year-old has been all around Europe during his career, playing for the likes of Copenhagen, FC Nurnberg and he even had a two-year spell at Charlton between 2005-2007, but failed to make a single senior appearance for the Londoners.Gislason was not included in Iceland’s squad for the European Championships in 2016, but since making his debut in 2009 he has been capped 49 times for his national team.He made the move to Sandhausen in January of 2018 and his boss Kocak is full of praise for his midfielder from a footballing standpoint.“[Gislason] is a real team player and an absolute winner for our team.
