Monticciolo drove his 2008 Subaru onto North Ocean Avenue, which was flooded from Wednesday’s recording-breaking storm, and his vehicle became disabled, police said. The water, which was approximately six feet deep, police said, began filling his car. He couldn’t get out. The two officers swam to Monticciolo’s car and successfully brought him to safety, police said. An examination by Selden Fire Department personnel revealed that he was not injured.
