New court dates set in Washougal mayors misdemeanor case

first_imgWashougal Mayor Sean Guard has another court date in his misdemeanor case for allegedly impersonating a police officer.During a hearing Thursday, Cowlitz County Judge Edward Putka scheduled Guard’s readiness hearing for 2 p.m. Dec. 15 and his jury trial for 9 a.m. Jan. 6, said Kelsie Davis, deputy court clerk.“This was just a continued scheduling,” Davis said.Guard entered a not guilty plea July 11 to a charge of second-degree criminal impersonation for allegedly using the emergency lights on his city-owned vehicle to get past slower traffic on Interstate 5 near Kelso on Dec. 24, 2010.last_img
