Cappelli: Family accommodation has become a real estate business, we are for quality family accommodation

first_imgIn the show ‘And now the government ‘ The Minister of Tourism, Gary Capelli, was a guest, where he spoke about the current amendments to the Law on Tourism and announced the final amendment to the Law on Tourist Land, which should open space for new investments. He said that the Government will solve the 6 most important laws in tourism, the Law on Tourist Services was recently resolved, now we have the Law on Catering Services, package 3 of the Law and at the end of the year, together with Minister Goran Marić, the Law on Tourist Land – which is point at and in tourism that will lead to additional investment. He explained the importance of these 3 laws that have not been changed for 17 years, these laws have made their own, they have made Croatia a tourist destination, and we have meaning and quality. Croatia must step out, go to new market demands, we are going to a different organization, he added. Speaking of the sojourn tax, it will be decentralized and its amount will be decided at the local level – cities and municipalities will make their proposals, and the counties will bring the amount of the sojourn tax. Cappelli also referred to tourist membership fees – we introduced some new taxpayers such as banks, and we removed some, those for whom it was a pure parafiscal levy.A special focus will be on total quality management, and the Minister invites everyone to embark on this project because it is the measurability of everything that tourist boards do, and the city as a destination. We need to measure the level we have reached in the tourist offer, he believes.Cappelli: Family accommodation has become a real estate businessThis summer, it was commented that the apartments were not full enough, but we must say that we have reached the number of 56.000 more beds in private accommodation, so we must say that we have a shortage of the same number of guests. He said that today we have 7% more guests than last year and that is some maximum we could reach, we have to bring the disproportion of family accommodation, camps and hotels to one level, but the market will say that.Currently, the ratio is 56% of family accommodation versus 15% of hotel accommodation, and the rest are camps. The problem is in those 56% of private accommodation because you have 71% of them with three stars. We are for quality family accommodation, it used to be a social measure, it is no longer, it has become a real estate business, and we are against it, he said. The consultation lasts until mid-October, after which all criticisms and proposals will be considered, he expects that, in addition to well-intentioned, ‘make-up’ criticism, he expects that the package of laws could be in the Government at the end of October.Watch the whole show hereRELATED NEWS:HUNT ON FAMILY ACCOMMODATION AND POSSIBLE CONSEQUENCESHUB: IT IS NOT LOGICAL THAT BANKS WHICH DO NOT PERFORM REGISTERED TOURIST OR SERVICE ACTIVITIES ARE EXPECTED TO BE SUBJECT TO THE LAW ON TOURIST MEMBERSHIP FEESMINISTRY OF TOURISM PRESENTS DRAFT PROPOSAL OF TOURIST LAW PACKAGESlast_img read more

Mourinho blames Arsenal, Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool for loss

first_imgJose Mourinho blamed Chelsea’s nearest rivals for his team’s 3-0 loss to West Brom in the Premier League on Monday.A brace from Saido Berahino and a second-half goal from Chris Brunt saw Tony Pulis’ men to their win at The Hawthorns, with Cesc Fabregas sent off in the 29th minute for Chelsea. With the title already wrapped up, Mourinho said his side were unable to play at the intensity required. The Portuguese tactician said his team could not be blamed for winning the title with matches to spare.”Football is to be played at maximum intensity and in our situation it’s not easy to do that,” Mourinho said.”I cannot say it’s a big surprise for me. I know what normally happens when a team is champion with matches in hand. “Bayern Munich lost the last three matches in the league, and when you’re champions so early it’s difficult to keep the motivation high.”When you lose that salt and pepper of the competition it’s difficult to compete at the highest level.”If I have to blame anybody, blame Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool for letting us win the title so early.”Chelsea are eight points clear of City (76 points) and even further clear of Arsenal (71), United (69) and Liverpool (62).–last_img read more
