first_imgThe Department of Medicine, Division ofOccupational Health is seeking a PhysicanAssistant to provide clinical and administrative coverageat the Latham & Watkins on site clinic in Los Angeles,California. The position reports directly to the Regional ClinicalCoordinator. The position also works closely with the Director andAssistant Director of the Division of Occupational andEnvironmental Medicine.Specific Duties andResponsibilities:Provide on-siteservices 40 hours per week at the Latham & Watkins clinic inLos Angeles, CA.Triage and treat, as appropriate, minor workrelated and non-work related injuries andillnesses.Dispense over the counter and prescriptionmedications in accordance with pre-established standing orders toemployees with minor work-related and non-work related concerns(back pain, headache, andpharyngitis).Provide on-site specimen/lab collection foremployees presenting lab orders from theirPCP.Provide on-site testing for strep pharyngitis,UTI, influenza, hyperglycemia andhypoglycemia.Provide support and case management for bothwork-related and non-work related conditions for the purposes ofreducing illness andabsenteeism. Minimum twelve monthsrelated experience (adult medicine).Current CPR certification required.
